Summa Western Reserve Hospital
Summa Western Reserve Hospital is a suburban community hospital located in northeastern Ohio featuring a strong osteopathic Graduate Medical Education program. Our program is all-inclusive, enabling physicians to grow in their chosen area of medicine. We are affiliated with The Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education (CORE), which interlinks 14 Ohio Osteopathic Teaching Hospitals and the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Summa Western Reserve Hospital offers the following programs accredited by the American Osteopathic Association - an internship program and residency programs which include dermatology, emergency medicine, family practice, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopaedic surgery with combined programs in emergency medicine/internal medicine and family practice/emergency medicine. A joint venture between internal medicine and dermatology is being initiated. Summa Western Reserve Hospital has a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery-24 residency program accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. Our residents rotate among several area teaching institutions, including Summa Health System, and MetroHealth Medical Center.
We invite you to be a part of the superior academic residency programs at Summa Western Reserve Hospital. We also invite you to learn more about our programs by perusing our website. However, if you have any questions please contact the Department of Medical Education at (330) 971-7225.
